Creative Development Intensive:
For those of you who just need another set of eyes on your project and clarity about the way forward– traditional publishing or self-publishing, speaking, teaching, or throw in the towel (rarely the case), Rebecca offers an assessment of a partial manuscript or brainstorming, thoughts on which routes might work best for you, and scaffolding to help structure your creative space in a practical way.
Includes: 90-minute strategy session, project direction, accountability framework, publishing/career guidance, follow-up notes
Pricing: $250/intensive
Manuscript Evaluation:
Do you have an existing manuscript that you’re not sure you’re ready to hand off to an agent or a publisher? Are you looking for someone safe to offer constructive feedback on the manuscript you poured your heart and soul into? Do you have a manuscript that you’re not sure is finished yet but you don’t know what else to add? Do you have a manuscript that you’re proud of but you want some eyes on it before you decide on a potential publishing path?
Rebecca offers manuscript evaluation, which is basically a written feedback on the strengths and limitations of your manuscript with some possible avenues of elevation and/or direction. Her feedback is thorough, considered, and grounded in empathy. Rebecca knows that writing is an intimate, soulful activity. She handles your work with compassion, kindness, empathy, and (above all) the desire to help writers achieve their pinnacle of possibility.
Manuscript evaluation includes written feedback of character analysis, plot analysis, and potential paths for elevation or publication. There is also a 1-hour consultation included to go over Rebecca’s feedback and discuss your needs moving forward in your writing journey.

Developmental Editing:
This is a similar process to Manuscript Evaluation, except the feedback and strategies for elevation are more explicit, in-depth, and actionable. This form of editing not only offers insight into character, plot, and conflict, but pacing, novel structure, theme, and reader experience.
Rebecca offers 2 1-hour consultations with this offering in order to discuss feedback, progress revision, and completion. This process is more time intensive for us both because Rebecca reads the manuscript twice– once for initial evaluation and feedback, and the second time for revision feedback and future steps. Further editing may be discussed as an addendum to the original contract.
This pricing structure also depends upon the manuscript length and level of “doneness,” typical pricing ranges from $1500-5000.
Included: margin comments, editorial memo, and character analysis
Price: $0.05/word
Line Editing:
Have you already seen an editor and Beta readers and you’re looking for some polish for a solid, well-constructed manuscript? Line Editing may be for you. In Line Editing, Rebecca considers your overall tone and purpose in your book and makes sure each line of your novel supports, clarifies, and elevates your work. Everything from grammar to consistency in voice, character description, setting, and theme, Rebecca makes sure your manuscript carries the weight it should.
Includes: editorial memo, marginal comments focusing on clarity, rhythm, tone, polish, sentence-level refinement for the overall feel and purpose of the story.
